COSMETIC CONTACT LENSES - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

CONGRATULATIONS! You have selected a pair of frequent replacement cosmetic contact lenses. With your cosmetic contact lenses, you can easily and safely change the colour of your eyes.

These instructions will help you in using your lenses. These instructions do not give you all the necessary information you need for wearing contact lenses. We do recommend you consult your optometrist and follow their advice.

Lenses are meant to be replaced monthly. When you exceed wearing these lenses more than a month, the lenses will collect debris which will cause discomfort in your eyes. By replacing the lenses on a monthly basis, you will always have fresh, comfortable lenses. For wearing schedules, always follow your optometrist’s advice.

INSERTION

Always wash and dry your hands before handling your lenses. Remove the lens from the package. Place the lens on your index finger. Check that the lens is clean and the right side is up.

     Right                                   Wrong

Hold your upper lid open with your left hand’s index and second finger. At the same time, hold your lower lid open with the second finger of your right hand. Look straight at your eye in the mirror and slowly and gently place the lens on your eye...

DO NOT BLINK or the lens will fall out before it has a chance of attaching to your eye.

Then carefully release your eyelids and blink.

You can gently massage your eyelid to centre the lens.

REMOVAL

Look up and hold your lower lid down. Pull the lens downwards, and gently with your index finger and your thumb, pinch the edges of the lens and remove it from your eye.

DISINFECTION

Always before inserting the lens and after removing it from the eye, rinse the lens with contact lens solution suggested by your practitioner. After wearing your lenses, store them in a case filled with fresh contact lens solution. If you wear your contact lenses infrequently, change the contact lens solution in the case with fresh solution once a week.

IMPORTANT

  • Do make sure you have a lens case and solution before using your contact lenses (we supply lens kits which contain a lens case if you need one).
  • Do not let hair spray or other cosmetic aerosols come in contact with your lenses.
  • Do not lend your lenses to anyone. This can lead to eye infection.
  • Do not participate in any water sport with your lenses on.
  • Remove your lenses before going to sleep.
  • Insert your lenses before putting makeup on.
  • Remove your lenses before taking your makeup off.
  • If your eyes get red or irritated or if you feel any pain, remove your lenses immediately and consult your optometrist.
  • Remember regular checkups and always follow the advice of your optometrist. (This should be done at least once a year).
  • If you are a new wearer of contact lenses, let your eyes get used to your contact lenses  by building up the amount of time you wear them (e.g 1 hour the first day, 2 hours the 2nd day and so on)

Disclaimer: We are not optometrists and do not profess to be. We are suppliers only. We recommend you contact your optometrist if you have any problems with your eyes as a result of wearing contact lenses.

We hope you enjoy wearing your contact lenses.
